The sensory learning program
The frustrated parent, the overwhelmed parent, the guilty parent, the extremely worried parent. You were preparing your child for the next day. Laying out his particular outfit, checking to see if he actually finished an entire sheet of homework, and making sure his lunchbox was packed with his specific favorite foods.
It was your normal nightly routine until you realized you were out of peanut butter crackers. In that moment you were absolutely sure your child would have a meltdown the next day in the cafeteria. You could see it. Inconsolable kicking and screaming under the lunch table simply because he had to go without a basic snack. But when rationality crept in, when you stopped making excuses and faced the facts, you admitted to yourself:. Never mind the fact that she is getting older and needs to be able to regulate her emotions on her own.
Addressing sensory processing concerns is not a one size fits all approach. You are not the only parent to worry if your child will ever succeed on his own. We see this every day at Sensory Stepping Stones. The Sensory Learning Program requires the primary nervous system to process information simultaneously in order to help your child adapt better to the real world. The Program The Sensory Learning Program is comprised of two minute sessions each day for 12 consecutive days, including weekends and holidays.
Each session is an individual sensory experience simultaneously engaging visual, auditory and vestibular systems to work in an integrated way. The repetitive sensory activation of each session builds on the session before. After twelve days of sessions in the Sensory Learning Center International, the individual returns home with a portable light instrument to continue the program, with a minute session each morning and evening for the next 18 days.
This occurs during the complimentary consult. Many times, we have difficulty getting people off of the table because they like it so much! Come and experience it yourself by calling the number above. I do seem to see more that I can help, and I actually help! In general, I am finally able to intake new information and remember it more than just the short-term.
While my headaches continue, they did improve with the program. I was having daily issues dealing with any input, now there are no outbursts and a lot more laughs.
Healing is a lot more effective, and we are still seeing improved attention and accuracy as the time goes on. I now have hope of future independence! We saw improvements in speech and language skills, and our son is now better able to communicate with us. He asks more meaningful questions and can tell us how he is feeling.
His communication skills are much closer to age appropriate than ever before! We also saw improvements in behavior, and we feel that is due to fewer sensory processing issues. The Sensory Learning Program helped lessen visual and auditory processing deficits and that has led to less anxiety and frustration.
Our son really enjoyed that home program portion too and tells us the light therapy helped make his head feel better headaches. We would and have recommend the Sensory Learning Program to other parents!
Although intense, the program brought about many positive changes in both medical and emotional health. When working with Dr. Sensory Learning Program. Morrow, OH Who responds to this intervention?
What's unique about the Sensory Learning Program? Can it be too much stimulation at once? How long before you see results?
