I am not done yet mate, I am just going to look at it when I can I am hoping can get it working on Windows 10 The VM is only the last case scenario.

Ringo 17 Mar, pm. Oh damn ok, well thank you for all your help my guy! Some heroes really don't wear capes! Black Blade [author] 17 Mar, pm. So first I recommend you try to find a crack and run it with that, see if that helps to run the game, its possible my issues is something else, my PC is piled up with stuff that can make a crash happen, as I use it some what as a development enviremnt and what ever the case that will likely be the first step to get it running I also tryed to use it in a Virual Machine of Windows 7 and it just did not run, possible becouse the Virtual GPU is not supported, so may need to find a fix that way if cant find a way to make it really work on Windows 10, that sadly will be the first game like that so far for me O that matter, making a Virtual Machine is basiclly download an ISO, select the ISO in the virtual Machien software, install the OS and you should be set to go.

Ok so far found there is an issue with Windows 10 with the DRM of the game As it uses a driver that dose not exsist anymore removed as of secirty issues So fourced to use a crack to by pass it : the game started no intro movie how ever But then it crash when try to start campine Looking into it. If how ever this will be the first, il help you get the VM up, its not that hard over all to do this days. First il say unlikely, yet to meet a game that was really unplayble on new devices, beside games that had some dead DRM, we will find a way, il try to see how to get a copy of that to get on it will return after got some resutls.

Or it could simply just be too old and just not possible to run on new computers, which would suck because its a classic to me. Share to your Steam activity feed. I am able to successfully install Netframwork 1. I plan to contact Microsoft direct to try and get it to work on Windows I use this program to control and program several VERY expensive, external audio devices. These external audio devices and now discontinued and the remote control program will never be updated.

However, these audio devices should last me a lifetime as long as I can use the remote control program. Dual boot 7 and 10 may be an option for me but, I will have to look into it. I may end up having to get a small laptop specifically for controlling and programming these devices. I would use Windows 7 for the laptops OS and never put the laptop online.

Well, I guess I would put the laptop online just to get all of the Windows 7 updates and then take it offline for good. I just wanted to see if Steam will always support Windows 7 and sadly, this doesn't seem to be the case. I do think that it's very wrong not to be refunded for my games when Steam no longer supports Windows 7. This basically means that my games will be taken away from me without a refund for something that is out of my hands.

I'm sure there are others that need to use older OS's for compatibility reasons. I feel that if you purchased a game on Windows 7, you should always be able to use the game on Windows 7. Just so I fully understand, I will always need to update the Windows OS if I want to keep being able to use my games, correct? This is because, at some point Steam will no longer support the current OS. Will I always be able to play that games that are currently in my Steam library regardless of how old they are, if I keep my OS up to date?

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Microsoft won't bother supporting deprecated and non-updated stuff, though. I'd suggest, contacting the people who produced those items, instead, and see if they have any suggestions. Brujeira View Profile View Posts. I wouldn't normally suggest this but have you tried scouring Reddit for a section pertaining to this program? I get the impression that it's the kind of obscure yet indispensable program that people would want to keep working by any means necessary.

That would mean that someone out there has already encountered and perhaps solved your problem - your Google-fu may need to be mighty strong to find them but Originally posted by leosantare :. If I am reading this correctly OP is suggesting that if I decide to run XP because I need it to run some old hardware, Valve should reimburse me for my games, even though I can dual boot or play on another PC?

Does that mean when they banned leaded fuel GMH should have refunded me? It won't be a percentages game, I guess it will be shortly after Microsoft "sunsets" 7. As to how to get around this problem, you won't. You could buy some games from a DRM free source, but sadly, not all titles will be available in such a state.

Less if Epic headhunts them. Last edited by 8ullfrog ; 13 Apr, pm. Can't I simply use another PC that has Windows 7 for this application? Are you saying that a decent laptop that is currently on the market today will not run Windows 7? I don't think that is correct because I just purchased a new PC and it can run Windows 7.

Are you saying that I need to choose between this application or Steam? If I had to decide between the two, the application is more important to me and will need to do everything necessary to always be able to use it.

I'm not running old hardware, I'm running an older application. Nothing is wrong with the application. The problem is Windows 10 doesn't support it. You're asking for people to look into the future. We don't know that.
